Ordering Seed Corn
As much as I would like to start taking orders for the 2012 season, I can't yet! The seed is still in the bin. As soon as I get it cleaned, tested, and bagged, I'll post ordering information here, likely in January. Prices and quality will be similar to that of 2011, I think. Gotta take a couple of weeks without thinking about farming for now.
All seed sizes of Abbe Hills OP in 2011 are $60 per bushel, plus shipping, or $35 per half bushel, plus shipping. Smaller amounts are $5 per pound, postage paid. Seed is also available in 32 bushel totes on pallets for $50 per bushel, or $1600 per tote, plus hauling.
Seed can be shipped to you by mail or by SpeeDee Delivery Service (if you live within their service area), or you may pick it up at the farm. Delivery runs from $11 to $60 per bushel, depending on the distance from Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and the method of shipping. If you decide to pick up the corn yourself, PLEASE call or email so arrangements can be made to have someone available to help you when you arrive.

Print the order form from the box on this webpage and mail it to me to place your order for Abbe Hill OP seed corn in 2011. I will bill you for the corn and shipping when I receive your order. As soon as possible after receiving your check, I will ship your seed. Delivery is usually possible in about ten days. If you decide to come to the farm to pick up your seed, you may pay me then.
