Where can I find recipes for my vegetables?
While Laura imagines that some day she'll be able to give you recipes for the vegetables, and maybe even samples to taste sometimes, the reality is - IT'S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!! Too crazy around here. Luckily, recipes are readily available on the Internet and can be found fairly quickly and easily.
If you don't have access to the Internet, Laura has a few excellent vegetable cookbooks for sale. They have lots of useful advice and make great gifts for you or for a friend. Early in the season, they'll probably be set out somewhere in the shed on pickup nights. If you want to know about the cookbooks and don't see them out, just ask Laura or her helper to get them for you.
For recipes, photos and descriptions for many of the vegetables you will receive this summer, you can visit the website of Local Harvest CSA. The Local Harvest CSA farm is near Solon and is operated by Laura's friend, Susan Jutz. We share plants, seeds, greenhouse space, tools, workers, and sometimes even produce with Local Harvest. They have pictures and recipes for most of the vegetables we'll have, plus some we don't.
